How Our Guest Reviews Differ from Others

All of our 45,000+ guest reviews are displayed on our city pages. Just pick a US state or Canada province, then a city ... and you'll see them.

Our hotel reviews differ from others in 4 ways:

  1. We accept reviews only from people who prove that they actually stayed at the hotel in question. Most other hotel websites accept reviews from anyone who can type.

  2. Our editors summarize each guest comment so you can read only 2 or 3 lines instead of 10 or 20.

  3. We show only a hotel's 5 most recent reviews. This also saves you time and lets you focus on recent guest experiences.

  4. We display reviews for hotels located in the same city or area on one page. This enables you to scan all the reviews and quickly identify the hotels that will most likely meet your needs.

Tip 1 – Best advice we can give you: Beware of non-refundable hotel reservations that could cost you a lot of money if you change or cancel them.

Tip 2 – Read cancellation policies carefully before you make a reservation.

Tip 3 – When you make a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Print it and take it with you, and don't delete the original email until you have completed your stay and know you have been billed correctly.

Tip 4 – The earlier in the day you check into a hotel, the more likely you will get a room or suite that matches your preferences.

Tip 5 – Hotel rates vary by season, by day of week, for special events, etc. Our $ cost codes are estimates that can be used to compare hotels in the same location.

We do offer discount rates for corporate, government, and military employees, AAA and AARP members, seniors, and other groups. But we do not base our cost codes on these discounts.
