  Editor comment: The Coast is located directly on the water, in a quiet area on the south side of the inner harbour. It's an enjoyable 10-minute walk from downtown. Waterfront rooms have superior views of seaplane take-offs and landings, which is fascinating - Jul 2006

  Located on the water, close to downtown - AC was so noisy we couldn't sleep; front desk clerk finally turned it off - good service - wonderful pool - we were billed for parking, though it was free with a meal purchase - we'd go back in a flash - Mar 2008

  Editor comment: The Delta is the only hotel on the north side of the Inner Harbour. It's a bit isolated ... a 10-minute walk from downtown across the blue Gorge bridge. Most of the nearby buildings are new condos - Jul 2006

  Editor comment: My favorite Victoria hotel, though the Coast and Delta are close seconds. The Laurel Point Inn is an easy 7-minte walk to downtown. Harbour-mountain views from west side of south wing (even-numbered rooms) are stunning. South wing suites are also newer and larger than north wing rooms. Studio suites are best value. Request even-numbered (west side) suite on 4th or 5th floor of south wing, as close to 460 or 560 as possible - Jul 2006
